Your student-led research component is the next step in your research process! Please read pages 73 to 82 in your student booklets, and be ready to submit your proposal by Monday evening (Monday, January 29th - midnight) by including your proposal in your folder.

For 8th grade students in my ELA classes, please also include your ROUGH DRAFT of questions or your survey questions/answer choices // your design plan or observation/experiment plan in a detailed manner. If you are planning to reach out to an expert in the field via email (someone you might not know) or a phone conversation (with someone you know), you need to provide the letter/email/script that you will be using to communicate with that person as well. THIS ASSIGNMENT ONLY NEEDS ONE COPY for the entire group. This is a group assignment.

You are also required to complete your first reflection. In order to do this, make a copy (individual assignment -- so each group member makes their own copy) of the reflection template linked in the button below. Then, only fill out the first box (reflection #1) and leave it in your individually named folder inside your group folder. Leave the document in there for the entire GATE Symposium unit. When it is time to do the second reflection, you will simply be adding to it by filling out the second box (reflection #2) and so on and so forth. This is due by Sunday evening or earlier.
