Meet Ms. ParkMs. Park teaches 8th grade Honors English and a Media Journalism elective class. She strives to encourage student success and facilitate a learning environment where all students can flourish into critical thinkers, creative innovators, and globally-minded individuals.
Ms. Park graduated from UCLA as a communication studies major with an art history minor. She pursued a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English as well as a Supplemental Credential in Foundational Mathematics from UC Irvine, where she received a Master of Arts in Teaching as well. Her research was focused on the efficacy of e-readers and tablets on critical reading in the English classroom. TECHNOLOGY & 21st CENTURY LEARNING Ms. Park is an avid user of technology in the classroom. Her students regularly use Canvas Instructure, Google Classroom, Skype, Khan Academy, YouTube, Weebly (and other blog platforms), and Instagram for learning purposes. Students have one-to-one Chromebooks, access to iPads, and the option of using their own devices in the classroom on a daily basis.
