Wow, it's been a while since Ms. Park has posted anything on this website! The last month (December 2017) has been spent working on four argumentative essays! We learned how to attack the prompt, organize our textual evidence, write effective thesis statements, outline our essays using the T-EPA-EPA-C method, and revise our work to improve our writing! We are done with our argumentative unit, and now that we're back for second semester, we are ready to tackle our huge Project-based Learning endeavor called GATE SYMPOSIUM! This year, our theme is "Relevant Resolutions" and you just received your booklets today. Be sure to watch the first video in the GATE SYMPOSIUM 2018 Playlist on Ms. Park's YouTube channel today (for homework). If you have questions, jot them down and save them for tomorrow's in-class discussion. Welcome back, everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
